Re: The VOID
Is the illusion so much more comfortable than stark reality? Yes.

Will humans wither and die without belief in a meaning or reasoning to any of this?

Is it laziness or passing the buck to worship a 'leader' or messiah?

I notice the males claimants like going by some version of 'father'..

Is it the devious taking advantage of the gullible? Or do they really believe they are divine? And why would anyone believe them?

Are messiahs and saints the same?

I recall AGC saying all the saints were possessed and that is how they performed their miracles..

Also, the in exorcism is it usually the Holy Spirit that is ousted and leaves a hole for any spirit to haunt.

Does asceticism lead to activation? Or possession?

I can understand those who are born into any belief system, having a difficult time shaking it or getting out of it. In most cases, there is no choice for females or children.

What I found really strange, was the males that fall for these 'leaders'.

For example..the lawyer in the Rev Moon vid, attesting to Rev Moon's purity, when asked about his very human 'sins'.

Did he praise him and defend him because he believed in him, or because he is paid to do so? Or both?

Which one holds more weight and why?

He had a very strange look on his face when defending Rev Moon who is dead.

Thanks for checking in.

Glad things are well.

Have fun with the new game. I haven't the foggiest about anything Pokemon but I'm sure it is fun with how popular it is.

Rented Deprogrammed last night. Still chewing on it.

Learned about this guy..

Sun Myung Moon

Sun Myung Moon was a Korean religious leader, also known for his business ventures and support for political causes.

A messiah claimant, he was the founder of the Unification movement (members of which considered him and his wife Hak Ja Han to be their "True Parents"), and of its widely noted "Blessing" or mass wedding ceremony, and the author of its unique theology the Divine Principle. He was an opponent of communism and an advocate for Korean reunification, for which he was recognized by the governments of both North and South Korea.

I think what it was, is to see these second generation kids born into this belief system, and that their entire foundation is built on it, thus they continue within it.

The third generation comes next. Will there be a fourth? A fifth? A tenth?

Is this how major religions are born or die?

I'm thinking yes.

On the backs and beliefs of their progeny, reinforced through fear of divine punishment.

Meh. How depressing.

Hope I'm wrong.

Reminds.

Yes

Depends on the human - we are homo sapiens after all.

I believe so. Having someone to "look up to" is one thing. Worship and placing yourself in a servile position another.

Probably some of columns A and B. Being in the aforementioned servile position alleviates from the "sapien" part.

What is possession? The word automatically conjurers images of devils controlling humans - eg The exorcist - for most I imagine given their upbringing/education. But does it necessarily have to only equate to negative interactions? Different cultures view it differently and have utterly different descriptions - some of which are extremely positive. A mingling of energies/essences of those from different realms, communication and interaction...long list. Perhaps it is what the person in question is open to...or allows in

That is what I found so strange in regard to IV's group. His #1 fans, seemed to worship him and I found it so incredibly bizarre.

He would want me to listen to these videos and move around a strangely colored website, to seek some goal of hierarchy.

I wasn't into it at all, but I still thought he was interesting so kinda stuck around for that reason.

When I was pressured to do the 'journeys' and listen to vids, and one time was called a 'naughty horse'..it really started to dawn on me, it was time to move away from all that.

Which proved far more challenging than I ever considered. Still.

Possession is when it won't let go. Think of that scene in Back to the Future and she is dancing with George and that other guy cuts in and pulls her away, to her protests and cries. Him hanging on, in that case, is possession.

That's how I see it.

I think the link shows that lots of people have been "touched". Some by an outside force, others perhaps "touched in the head" chuckle

You'll hear an artist speak of how they were possessed when a true flash of inspiration struck - almost as if something unseen was acting upon them. Perhaps it is more common, and acts in more ways then believed - from those who's words have echoed across time - Jesus for example, Shakespeare, Buddha etc, or who's art remains in the psych (Da vinci) or the acts of some - Joan of Arc.

What seems most common among them is they forged their own paths, whatever form that may have taken

Is that what happened to Michael Jackson or Tesla?
 Quoting: Seer777

That's quite the bipolar cross section. Tesla died an old man summarily forgotten. MJ never had a choice as he was more an alter than a person.

There are a lot of whatever happened to articles that would likely make my point.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76503163

When I read your post I was reminded of the scene in The Prestige when Tesla talks about his fame. That's why I included him.

Michael Jackson looked like a monster by the time he died. He was not well in any shape or form and many over looked his bizarre behaviors. He had known fame since childhood.

I do understand that people leave and move away from fame, probably for the reasons both you and I mentioned. But it doesn't take much to recall someone in memory.

One being, it doesn't exist.

Two..that it will exist in the future with people's memories and personalities.. being 'uploaded'.

Three..that this is the afterlife and we just keep repeating the same loop over and over.

Four..the Earth is like a training/vacation destination.

Five..that we are all asleep on a ship somewhere and this is a collective dream were all having while getting to where we're going.

Six..that this is Hell

Seven that we are being farmed

Eight that none of this means anything in the grand scheme of the enormity of the universe.

Nine..that we are all mini creators exploring our abilities. Lots of great things to do and see. Depending on when, where, how, you were born and where you live.

I don't believe anyone that says they know for sure anything when it comes to the comes to the Afterlife or any unanswerable problems that present itself to the existential dilemma.

Being in a simulation solves all the unsolvable problems for me.

It also grants the potential existence of a 'Heaven or Hell' and a creator, as people have come to consider them.

I think this meme gets it as close as anyone ever will.

One of the reasons I lean no afterlife, is the seemingly lack of vengeance beyond the grave one would think would be probable.. due the vast injustices, that plague our world.

Seems to me that if an aspect of people did go on..there would be far more score settling.

Re: The VOID
Inductive reasoning is a method of reasoning in which the premises are viewed as supplying some evidence for the truth of the conclusion; this is in contrast to deductive reasoning. While the conclusion of a deductive argument is certain, the truth of the conclusion of an inductive argument may be probable, based upon the evidence given.

Good morning.

I don't recall any dreams last night and only got about 5 hours of sleep. I feel okay though.

The sunrise on the drive down to Market this morning, was spectacular.

Reaffirmed my belief in a Creator..

Simulation Theory doesn't work without a Creator.

Either that..or the Creator is the Sun.

Thread: We are The Dark Lodge. You may ask us questions. (Page 5)

Does that make Earth..Hell?

Is being born in certain places..say a slum in India, comparable to a circle of Hell?

Is there a way out..like the Buddhist, Samsara?
 Quoting: Seer777

You can look at it that way, sure. Keep in mind that your mental and emotional state has no bearing on the fact that we are ALL in a fabricated reality Anu has created for us.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77457820

Is Anu like a Super Sim(4D), that plays the Sims, us(3D)..while we create our own version of the Sims we play?

The super Sim, playing us Sims, watching us create/play the Sims?

The Sim playing Sims, playing Sims..

Is it just a farm?

Bread and circus?

To what end?

What is the plan when mankind inevitably moves into trans-humanism and merging with tech to simulate immortality?

Seems the only way out.. if our continued fate is being recycled.

 Quoting: Seer777

Yes. We’re all here because of Anu’s ego and his desire to be God over all. Our group has been tasked with creating disharmony on this planet so that he can come in as the savior in a distant future time.

As reward for our loyalty and service we will allowed to control the power grid yet again in the next simulation.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77457820

Anu desires to be seen as a hero to his creation?

Is that why humans are obsessed with the Hero's Journey and reproduce it endlessly through story, image, and song?

Does the new simulation just overlay the old one, or is it more like a wipe and re-install?

Could Anu and the Elohim be compared to the Borg?
