I knew a guy with one eye. He lost one to cancer as a kid.

He ran over our recycle bin once backing out of our driveway. Not saying that is the reason.

He is an accomplished musician and music teacher.

If anyone wants to talk more about The 3rd eye topic, I'll be around. I assume it is somewhat common around here. How common I still don't know for sure.

Seems those type of topics have become somewhat scarce in these parts.

We have 2 of those at the beach house we push over the wall and go crabbing on the regular. By 'we' I mean not me in particular..

I use to go crabbing though. It was fun and little harrowing in a tiny metal boat, in an estuary subject to tides.

That water is mighty cold too.

Gone mud crabbing a few times up the top of Australia. Nothing quite like running over the salt water crocodiles in a tin boat smaller then they are.

I have an irrational fear of crocodiles.

I know it is irrational..yet it persists.

Some of those activities do involve swimming. May just not be a good place for it heh.

The water is really cold. It runs down off the Coastal Range. If you're going to be submerged, you'll need a wetsuit.

Even in the Summer, wading out past my calves, my feet will go numb from the cold in just a couple minutes.

Some people don't seem to mind that sensation.

The biggest predator on our bay, are seals. They generally just swim around and pop their heads up during high tide.


Either way..swimming in water with large critters in it..has just never been my thing.

People wakeboard, SUP board, kite sail, boat, canoe, jet-ski, wade..but never really swim in the Bay.

There is an episode, the coasts one, where it was documented how sea lions - known to be lone-wolf style hunters - in the Galapagos had developed a cooperative hunting method whereby they were able to drive tuna into shallow inlets, causing the tuna to beach themselves in a panic and/or be over-powered by the slower, less nimble seafaring predators when escape routes were cut-off by others in the gathered pack of lions.
