Eh. The large amount of time dedicated to a single book, the control of dating (which I can understand to a point - don't date the ex you used to use with) etc - meh struck me as controlling/cultish. But similar could be said of AA...but I consider most of them cults, just large/accepted enough to become classified as a religion..so I'm rather biased  It's been going on for a while, and the longer it continued...well the issue would just compound mentally - let alone the physical toll. Just my viewpoint
