Thread: The Genetic Bonds Between Kurds and Jevvs The Yezidi and their belief of Melek Taus.. suddenly makes sense.
Quoting: Seer777 I have no idea what you're talking about
what connections ? I don't see any .. I only scanned your link, some kind of archangel entity ... don't see any link
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77419105 The ethnic link between the belief system(s). Also why they are/were targeted by ISIS. The Yezidi beliefs and culture was very exclusive. They didn't marry /have progeny outside their own culture before their genocide some years back. Other offshoots of religion.. view Melek Taus..as the Devil or Satan..and therefore see them as 'devil worshippers'. The Peacock Angel is a fascinating story. Quoting: Seer777 The Yezidi considered themselves to be the only surviving line of, Adam. Yazidi mythology says that they were created quite separately from the rest of humankind, being descended from Adam but not from Eve, and as such they seek to keep themselves segregated from the people among whom they live.
Marriage outside the community is forbidden. [ link to www.britannica.com (secure)] Quoting: Seer777 ^^ Quoting: Seer777 I wonder if the genetic link suggests that jewish people are descended from eve as well.
Quoting: Light of my Little Left Eye The genetic link makes sense of the similarities of their belief system, behaviors, and how other cultures view them, looking in. The Yezidi were directly targeted. It's strange we have a world still so caught up completely in these myths and beliefs regarding our reality. Wouldn't mind a divine peacock angel pulling back the curtain and being like, yep.. Either way, what happened to the Yezidi people, if Melek Taus has any basis in reality, I assume it will take its vengeance, as well it should. Hope to see it in my lifetime. Absolutely sickening and heartbreaking what happened to those people, while the world watched.
I struggled for a months during, with total atheism because of it. Forgoing my foundational beliefs and undermining my very ability to make any sense of my reality.
Aethism didn't work for me, but I tried. Quoting: Seer777 I've felt a strong connection to Melek Taus since first discovering the Peacock Angel, back in 2012 or thereabout. This genetic link, makes further sense of it for me. Quoting: Seer777 [ link to youtu.be (secure)]
