One of the girls in the Dragon Girls documentary, was talking about wanting to jump off the roof. I just watched the sword dance one of the girls performs, and I have to say after all the training and beatings, she's an absolute unit. She seems the most driven of the girls interviewed.


Fame is a curse. Not sure why people seek it.

Money and perceived power and how it opens doors I assume, but at a huge cost.

I read the other day the Backstreet Boys were essentially robbed by their manager, who IIRC, turned out to be a real scum bag.

Weinstein is another predator in that vein.

They're kind of everywhere in the industry and I don't think it is accident it has been equated to 'selling your soul to the devil'.

There was a famous female group who recently said, they were basically escorts. Can't recall which.

Bobbie Brown, the cherry pie video girl who later married the bands front man Janie Lane, says her ex-husband was drugged and raped by a well known heavy metal singer and his manager.

He made this confession to her shortly before he died. It apparently happened during his early days on the Hollywood strip while he was still a struggling musician. He apparently never told anyone out of embarrassment.

Thinking of what famous heavy metal acts, who were on the Hollywood scene in the early 1980's, who do you think it might be?
