Police: No chasing bears with dull hatchets while drunk

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —"Chasing bears through the woods drunk with a dull hatchet is strongly not advised."

That is the advice from North Adams police to residents after they say a local man did just that on Monday night.

"We certainly don't need anyone going all Davy Crockett chasing it through the woods drunk with a dull hatchet," North Adams police posted on their Facebook page. "It is just a bad idea and not going to end well."
