The fact of the matter is that even though we know that all internet traffic is routed, copied and stored though the super secret complex under area 51 or similar complexes throughout the world for the illuminati.

Please

just exactly how true is it that all internet traffic is logged somewhere, wherever that may be ?

It doesn`t bother me where but is it actually done ?

I don't drink. I believe I've said I'm living a drug/alcohol free life. Even when I'm old enough to drink *I'm 18* I won't touch it. There's other ways to have fun. Ruining my body is not one.

HS, farting around like a child pretending to be in lust with a moron on a public message board is pretty lame.

Re: Why are "Anonymous Cowards" anonymous cowards?
I can relate to posting as AC myself. This was in the old times when there was no user ID, at least none that I was aware of.

My motives were:
- Total freedom of choosing whatever position I wanted to manipulate the thread sentiment in a direction I thought was fruitful or fun.
- No history, I had no ambitions of making friends or enemies with anyone. I thought of myself as a totally free agent, acting without any kind of responsibility to anyone even to myself.
- I used different personas, temporary nicks, to organize my GLP activity for myself, taking advantage of the larger scope of manipulative power I got that way.

Then I suddenly thought it was no fun anymore, and left. I guess I viewed GLP as a kind of playground of the mind, a social simulator.

When I came back to GLP years later, I registered almost immediately. Now I'm presenting my views from the perspective of an identifiable persona that people can relate to. I never post as anyone but this "LTC Peachblossom" at GLP. People may hate me, feel indifferent, or like this persona. It does not matter.

The codex of "LTC Peachblossom" is a kind of idealized version of the actual values as practiced by the real person behind the mask in real life, where information processing capabilities are more limited by time constraints. Thus, this person (I) think of "LTC Peachblossom" as a tool for self-improvement.

For instance, the real person behind "LTC Peachblossom" is still rather suspicious about Gypsies. Don't ask why. "LTC Peachblossom" will never admit to any prejudice about anyone. In most other relevant aspects the persona and the person coincides, and the gap is closing.

Love,
/LTC Peachblossom

Re: Why are "Anonymous Cowards" anonymous cowards?
I guess I am an attention junky, I like registering and using avatars. I create all of my avatars wherever I post, some are graphics, some, like this one, is of my 'oldest child' and my parttweiler Ginger. It is not pretentious, it is whimsical, real and fun.

It took me awhile to figure out that you didn't stay signed in on this site, even if you clicked away for a short time, and even if you typed in your name, your avatar wouldn't come up even though this site recognizes you and gives you the same number. So, some of my posts ended up being anonymous, some don't have the AV.

I can see remaining anonymous being an enticing thing, especially when you want to be a shit and not be held accoutable for behaving like a lout. But for many, it is a mistake or just laziness.

I'll stick to being gracious, truthful, caring, and accountable--to matter how it may stick in the craw of some. jump
