911 call: 'I just killed my wife'

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The man charged for the murder of his wife in their Pima County home on April 12 admitted to the crime as soon as a 911 operator picked up the call.

"Please send someone to (address redacted)," said George Majewski to the operator. "I just killed my wife."

His wife Kerman Dubash was rushed to the hospital after first responders attempted CPR. She had a pulse and heart rate, but no brain activity, according to a detailed incident report from the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

At their northwest side home, Majewski told the operator that he strangled his wife. Deputies later seized four handguns, five rifles and a shotgun, according to the report. They also catalogued five gold bars, among other items from the house.

Majewski hung up after his initial call, but the operator rang him back. She asked for more details about the situation. He said he was in the living room with his wife at the time.

"I will open up front door when police come," said Majewski over the phone.
