It stabilizes the ag ions. Also citrates are considered food by bacteria, which is supposed to further the bioactivity. The only downside to silver citrate is that the ppm is usually very high because citric acid does increase the conductivity of the water. Mitigated by dilution of final citrate solution. |

If using the battery method, I've always had my solutions turn yellow eventually, even when cleaning off the electrodes every half hour or so. Ive read that as the conductivity of the water rises from the Ag ions, the more current is drawn from the batteries which ends up producing charged silver particulates versus individual ions. The particulates agglomerate at a much faster rate and begin to reflect light, hence the color. Something like that :) |

But you need to be able to make nano silver when the SHTF. what makes the generator special? been reading and i happen to have a battery charger with current limiter. running now 12v 0.05Amps. using a red laser (something i read) and will stop when the beam is clearly defined visually in the liquid. using a multimeter and monitoring amps... i tried the 9v battery method, but the post about too much current as the solution gets more concentrated was right on i think - if the silver starts bubbling definitely a sign tooo much current. low v low amps for smaller particles?? current drops when i stir as well, another good sign that it is working imho. using this for reference: [link to www.quantumbalancing.com (secure)] thoughts? |

LED begins to light up at current increases due to solution becoming concentrated. stir occasionally to keep solution mixed. when LED is bright stop the power. basic LED uses 20mAmps. Test solution at this point (test method?? - laser etc if don't have a ppm meter) and if more time is needed, add another LED. at some point, when both (or more LED's are lit) the solution should be done. thoughts? |

I have about 8 years experience and experimentation with Ionic Silver and true colloidal silver. Things I have discovered. All colloidal Silver Generators produce Ionic Silver. Ionic Silver must be reduced to make true metallic Colloidal silver. Ionic silver: is only good for use topically skin, eyes,cuts, acne,mix with hand soap to kill virus. disinfect counters door knobs and other surfaces. If you ingest ionic silver it is affected by your stomach acid and turns to silver chloride once inside the body and is only about 10% to 20% affective. It also can get trapped in cells and have a higher chance of causing argyria grey blue skin about a 10% chance of this happening. You would have to drink large amounts of properly made Ionic Silver daily for this to happen. can only be made stable to 23 PPM True metallic Colloidal Silver: is good for internal use for many problems. Flu cold, sickness,virus,bacterial infection ,food poisoning. It is not that affective for topical use because it is capped when it is reduced from Ionic to true colloidal Silver.But is is not affected by stomach acid does not turn to silver chloride and 90% or more enters the blood stream. It passes thru the body does not get trapped in cells and has very little chance of causing argyria. can be made stable up to 320 PPM. 20 PPM is all I use for ingesting. It has worked for sickness in 24 hours or less every time. The formula I use to make ionic or colloidal silver is Time = Milliliters of distilled water x PPM X 0.015 / mA of constant current. So I have 1050 Milliliters of distilled water that I want to make to 20 PPM using 1.5 mA of constant current. It would look like this 210 min or 3.5 hours = 1050*20*0.015/1.5 mA you can make any amount of liquid silver using this formula just change the milliliters of water or PPM or mA of constant current. After experimenting with several machines I have found 33 volts of DC and 1.5 mA of constant current works best with 10 gauge 9999 Silver wire . Connect the other side of diode to the cathode or negative side of colloidal silver generator. This will give you a constant current colloidal silver generator. It is five 1988 Canadian silver Maple leaf coins. I got these as soon as they came out to have a source of silver of which I could be sure. The 12gauge silver wire that I had them linked with is 999 from a reputable company, but with no knowledge of what the impurities are. I continued to be frustrated in my experiments to control particle size while attaining high levels of ionic content. As you can see from the picture, the silver oxide buildup on the Maple leaf coins was very heavy and required wire brushing to clean it off. The reason for the corrosion was the numerous indentations on the coins themselves. These indentations formed walls spaced so closely together that ions were not allowed to fully escape the Maple leaves without combining and forming particles of silver oxide which would then attach themselves to the surface. When I would grind the silver oxide off with a wire wheel, the scratches formed and the same phenomenon would repeat itself. This difficulty is caused by what is called the "Nernst diffusion area." It describes the limits for how many ions can escape from a given surface area, even a completely smooth area. Having indentations such as those on the coins means that walls were formed with the distance between them less than the diffusion area. So for those of you who are using Canadian silver Maple leaf coins I can assure you that I agree with your reasoning completely. When it comes to what I'm going to put into my body, I'm not a "trusting" person. If I did not have a source of silver wire that I was certain of, I would still be using Maple leafs myself.
