I have a different take. It makes me realize how long people have wasted their lives on talking about the NWO and the trilateral commission, and son on.

Instead of those behind the NWO infiltrating a sitcom, I think it was really just that some of its writers or perhaps the actors were impassioned about the subject and wanted to get it out there. It just shows that history doesn't really change much...there have always been people in power, seeking more power in bad ways, and other people who see it, amid a sea of people who don't and who are apathetic.
