I would not comply, fuck astro and his gang of astronauts.

I would like Dr. Astro's opinion on this. I trust him.

I am just wondering if it could cause trouble throughout the city.

I don't know what kind of city Telluride is.

The city of Telluride, Colorado is asking its residents to turn off their lights from Saturday night to Sunday morning to rid the sky of light pollution.

FROM LINK:
"For all of humanity's history up until the last two generations, humans have always looked up and seen the night sky," night sky photographer Ben Canales said.

Joining him will be astronomers, who will be leading a tour of the stars.

The steep canyon walls and high altitude of Telluride mean that little other light pollution will be visible if the town itself goes dark, the Telluride Daily Planet reported

Re: TELLURIDE, COLORADO Going Dark This Weekend.
We really do not need so many lights, your eyes get used to the dark if you have less lights. You can see more, you can also see people who are out there hiding, no shadows to hide from you.

This is true, your eyes get used to the dark, and you see no things. I remember all the night things, I used to walk in the dark, it did not seem dark. The moonlight night were much brighter, we used to play well into the night on moonlighted nights. Stars were so bright, not like now, this is one of the thing I miss. I think of people living in a concrete jungle. I do not see how they can stand it, but I guess they don't know the other.

All New York has is lights, it make thing look better than they really do, unless they have fixed it up since I visited it. Like and old woman with heavy makeup in the daylight it is looks real bad, but at night everything is hidden.

I would assume this is the way of most older cities. I love it when they have a freak electricity knock out, they all go to the parts or anywhere outside and look at the stars, I guess they really don't get much of a view, most of the time.

One of my pet peeves is night lights on poles, I had mine cut off. Neighbors somehow think they have to have them.

Actually reminds me of stories during WWII. I believe England had a law that light had to be out at sunset and windows covered or blackened so the Germans couldn't see the cities.
