NATO broke the treaty when they installed missile shield in Romania and Poland first. Russian new middle range systems is the answer. Now NATO points to Russia for blame, how hypocritical and most of all haughty. Its like they are insulting Russian intelligence and ours for convincing us they are to blame.

Regular folks sure, if war would break up with Russia in Europe majority at start would be Poles, Romanians, Balts and so on who would fight. And German, Norwegian and whatnot generals would drink tea in Brussels.

The INF treaty violations are clearly a diversion..Russia only wants what the USA already has..

Generals yes most likely but not the troops, or at least in the British sense we have troops out in the Baltics and Poland along with various other nations.

I know you got them, we got 80 soldiers in Latvia as well but these are samples. If war starts Poles and in general eastern Europeans would be first available for meat gind.

You know how many Brits are stationed in Baltics and Poland all together?

If ww3 will ever break in full scale, it can only start in Middle East, methinks. All will be needed spread local ongoing proxy wars into massive global one.

Roughly 900 in total for the Army as a part of the EFP (Enhanced Forward Presence) on rotation, nowhere near enough to hold of an advance, but enough to pose a threat and do some damage...

Unfortunately in every world war Europe has been the battlefield and it's our homes that have to be rebuilt our civilians that get killed our lives that become shit when SHTF, it's why is easy for the US to play God, even in a nuclear exchange he US could absorb and rebuild without as much of an impact to the extent of which we in Europe would see, Russia could also do this but ultimately would pay a heavy toll.

Ukraine Joining NATO Announces Top Diplomat

After years of backdoor diplomatic talks between Ukrainian and North Atlantic Treaty Alliance (NATO) officials, Western contemplation and, most recently, the Kerch Strait clash incident, Ukraine is now set to join the ever eastwards expanding US-led military bloc. The announcement was made by Ukraine’s foreign affairs minister, Pavlo Klimkin, following a NATO meeting with Ukrainian and Georgian diplomatic officials a couple of days ago.

Well the trouble here and it's not meant to criticise your statement, is that over the years there has been a build up of forces and capabilities as there was a transition from counter insurgency warfare to conventional, they knew that by entering the region it could likely lead to a larger or more intense conflict...

It's better to prepare before committing.

I've been busy as of late, has NATO themselves came out with a statement or is this just of the cuff Ukrainian statement...

I'm not sure we've seen a NATO MAP issued yet.
