Any of you geniuses know that the sea of Azov is far too shallow for warships ? They can go, get beached and beg the Russians to be towed out.

As a practical matter, Russia has the means to destroy any and all ships and aircraft in that region. On the Black Sea the life expectancy of any intruder would be measured in minutes, on the Sea of Azov in seconds.

Thing with this is NATO warships enter the Black Sea on a regular bases, what would be different is if they stayed longer than the 21 days or pulled into Ukrainian ports.

Exactly and it would be dumb to so, if anything was to occur that would make any ship vulnerable to Land Air and Sea attacks, but what could be done is manuvres in the Black sea just out side of Russia's territorial waters, plus a ship ladened with Missiles doesn't need to go to Azov to contest a blockade...

Reckless, highly reckless, for multiple reasons, obvious ones being it poses issues to commercial maritime and air traffic, and can be deemed a provocation which would only take one slip of thought before it escalates...

One warship however will just be a play toy for Russia, probably see some buzzing by Russian Aircraft, the usual story, one the media can spin as Russian aggression, the other for Russian to spin Russia's resolve and courage in the face of adversity...

What I find interesting is references to the 17 aircraft buzzing the RN destroyer earlier in the year, there was a statement saying it was reckless to do so, not for the obvious reasons IE the ship can kill 48 aircraft in one salvo, but on the fact that electronical equipment could cause interference to Russian Aircraft causing them to crash...

What's to say an accident happens Russian Aircraft crash and we have to rescue the Russian piolts, would it be seen as an accident or would it be seen as a potential ECW attack.
