Could this Southern Bluefin Tuna have been affected by Fukushima radiation?
[link to s284.photobucket.com]

This sbt was caught offshore from the town of Port Macdonnell in South Australia. The fish was 107kg in weight and was caught after 35 minute fight. The guy who caught it believes it is from burnout after a long fight, as apparently this can happen with Tuna. Not sure what the cause is but looks like a tumor of sorts in my opinion. Like to know what other opinions are.

Love to know if it is even possible for the fish to have swam in waters possibly affected by Fukushima radiation

Looks like necrotic muscle. May have gotten hooked a day or two earlier and put on a big fight and got loose.

Anyone know estimates of how far the radiation could have spread by now?

Muscle necrosis from ischemia is pale, yellow, and gooey. It may turn black in a few more hours if hemorrhage into the necrotic area develops. Also, compartment syndrome that develops from increasing pressure that first occludes venous return will start out dark and get darker---but primary ischemia from infarction starts out pale.

The jet stream takes it around the Earth everywhere every four days.

So...the answer is everywhere in the Northern hemisphere and a bit spillover into South America.

This is not radiation damage. Muscle is one of the least sensitive tissues in the body to environmental radiation. A "hot particle" could get stuck in the gills or the gut, but would cause damage there, not out in the muscles.

How does cesium-137 get into the body?

People may ingest cesium-137 with food and water, or may inhale it as dust. If cesium-137 enters the body, it is distributed fairly uniformly throughout the body's soft tissues, resulting in exposure of those tissues. Slightly higher concentrations of the metal are found in muscle, while slightly lower concentrations are found in bone and fat. Compared to some other radionuclides, cesium-137 remains in the body for a relatively short time. It is eliminated through the urine. Exposure to cesium-137 may also be external (that is, exposure to its gamma radiation from outside the body).

I'd eat it if I was hungry. Burnout/burnt-flesh syndrome is the correct term, it appears.
