A total of 682 people who could have been exposed to the coronavirus at a South Korean hospital through primary carriers were quarantined, reported South Korean newspaper Donga Ilbo. Health ministry official Kwon Jun-wook said Monday a total of 715 people came into "close contact" with confirmed MERS patients, but 33 were released because they were symptom-free. Yonhap reported the latest announcement was followed by the news of the death of a South Korean woman, whose husband was one of 18 confirmed MERS patients.
