Explosion saw/heard over Gulf Mexico / Clearwater area

We heard this same pop/explosions sound at night a couple weeks ago and he saw flash in same area. On that night he saw a flash in same area he said. He thinks whatever it is that it's the same thing.

Maybe training exercises or maybe something to do with some event on beaches???

Sounds like a nasty fart to me.

This is a highly populated area. I was hoping some other GLPers heard or saw this also. Apparently not so far.

Yup, that might have been same thing. It was that general direction. We're up more towards Clearwater Largo area and it looked like it was from Seminole, St. Pete coast area, which is right by Tyrone. We are about 5 miles away and heard loud pop. Like I said my son saw smoke from here orange/yellow colored. Maybe a flare shot up?? Don't know what flare guns look like.

I've heard of some preppers practicing with flare guns for communications, yah, never know....

Oilrig explosion.. great.

I saw the....orange/yellow colored.... smoke cloud...just before Port St Lucie on 95 around 1100 today...I was in Miami last night and there was brush fire burning Thursday night. So there you have it. I heard no loud pop.
These clouds were tight and long over the horizon left to right. in a stringy long thin line...

No, we don't have any nearby here. It was just a quick pop, and then orangish/yellow smoke. The one he saw the other night had a flash though. We're not sure on this one.

Could be one of those left over big firework things, but was weird a black plane or helicopter was flying over at same time, also seemed pretty far away for the sound of a normal fireworks, plus the added factor something happened the other night like this.

Reports coming in all over the country of Russian and chinese bombers taking out military targets.

Hmm... Sounds like the one you saw was lingering. This was dissipated pretty fast. I think slight wind today. I'm thinking maybe coast guard practicing something?? Seemed to be a bit more than usual flying around this week.

That sounds like an interesting read, can you link something on that?

We've noticed different flight patterns with Coast Guard this week. Also at one point one was going faster than normal and seemed like something black things on bottom of it, but I couldn't make out what it was. Honestly, to me, it looked like those missile gun things on bottom of helicopters, but so fast couldn't tell. Plus I don't think Coast Guard puts those on helicopters.

LOL, I don't think it's an invasion just yet, but Florida is a sitting duck in my opinion, not only that we're right next to MacDill AFB here.

I've been thinking all these train crashes, etc. have been savage just like a few years back the ammunition plants and fertilizer plants all blowing up, too coincidental.

Right around that time someone I know was waiting for the bus on 49th street and seen and heard a loud explosion and saw flames and smoke and it never made the news here that i know of. I always wondered about that.
