For some reason I thought it was a legal requirement in most states that a pastor of a church must notify law enforcement if someone brings to his/her attention the sexual abuse of a minor.
Can't find anything about it when I search. Not sure what is the appropriate search terms to use so not sure if I am just missing it or there is nothing there.
The female in question talked to the pastor of the church - brought her friends who have been sexually harassed by the same individual, and has photographic evidence of inappropriate contact(she was able to get photos without the guy knowing it) and inappropriate text messages from this perv saved on her phone.
Apparently they have all left the church without the police being notified.
The perv had already left the premises by the time the pastor was notified... so perhaps the pastor is acting on the information now and I do not know it... but just in case, I need a plan of action and I would prefer to force the pastor to contact police given that he has been given all of the information.
