The origin of the Trinity isn't at all mysterious. At the Council of Nicaea in 325, they debated the nature of God as described in the biblical texts they perceived to be canonical. After a vote, they approved the Trinity as doctrine.

They decided a great deal about what we can and can NOT
believe, even today--and I am sure they had good reason!
I wonder if some of their decisions are the reason that
we have NEVER seen a Gay parade like the one in Brazil.
Gay men making out as they hang from a cross to mock
the crucifixion--I could have lived YEARS without seeing
that one!
