it's bizarre because yet again the internet sleuths have determined that this event never happened or was a staged psyop.

It sounds like it really happened and that a really fucked up individual did a fucked up thing but because they have played too many video games and watch too much tv, they believe that it really didn't happen. That's why it's so bizarre.

lets see as the story "evolves" and what changes, it should make its bizareness apparent.

The source of the information in the article is all hearsay...

Such reports are always hearsay. That's why they contain items are confused, changing and downright wrong. Conspiracy theorists always cite this as "evidence".
