What is occurring right now brings the following biblical scripture to mind.

I am Just posting an observation, not trying to push scripture, because I myself am not entirely sure on how the context of it fits with what is happening today, but this biblical text is supposed to relate to the generation we now live in. For Daniel, it was a vision of thing yet to come and it was not relevant to his time, but instead to ours.

Specifically, the one verse sticks out though and describes exactly what is occurring today.

Also the following verse about times is also something to consider, because it refers to a 3 + 1/2 year time period which is spoken of as the last 3.5 years of a 7 year tribulation prior to Christ's return. Many professing Christians believe we are near or in the mid tribulation currently and I myself feel this is probable.

Here is the scripture that I am referring to with bolded text for the passage that shows relevance to this thread topic.
