Someone had suggested this possibility here on GLP some time ago. I wish i could remember his/her name so i can give credit where credit is due.

but i have been reconfiguring my understanding of bible prophecy ever since.

however, my personal efforts have so far been intermittent as i have not had the time to refer to the text itself

but, the interpretation definitely merits further and more serious consideration.
