Saw a black shadow a few times. More of a full shadow figure. I comvinced myself i was just tired.

"Sleep watchers" usually hang around on the right side of the bed or at the foot of the bed. They begin to disappear when spotted. Sometimes they walk away, sometimes they 'blend in', sometimes they just disappear. Their purpose/function is unknown, but not thought to be harmful.

Having said that about the cat, I can also attest that perhaps there was some effect from having a cat around. Maybe cats do keep the worst of the worst at bay. But I don't consider any of my encounters to have been legit shadow people. I know people who have encountered shadow people though.

I experienced similar being beside my bed when I was young.

I don't know what they are or what they want.
