The Abrahamic religions are not our friend. This "turn the other cheek" business is killing us.

I do not know how Protestant Christians can actually think we are any better of for sure or not when Protestantism sprung forth as a product of Catholicism in the first place.
So I am a bit confused about some of it too.
look up Mk 3:11 then realize that the Catholics are the original Christians.
No, that evidently cannot be.
Mark 3:11 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
And that verse reveals no such thing like that.

I've seen further evidence that shows they are not.
