True. They have cameras all over these facilities. Why was she placed in solitary? And, FOR 3 FREAKING DAYS on what started out as a minor violation.

They confined her in solitary. Would drive most people crazy. She should have been put in general population so she could interact. I'd wager the arresting officer REQUESTED solitary. If so, he and the jail may have serious legal issues. Why? Because they would have to believe she was a DANGER to herself or others; meaning, she should have been on SUICIDE WATCH.

Cause you get solitary when you say you're suicidal...you asshat.

Ok here are my thoughts....

Sandra had a strong rebellious attitude towards those in authority. She had an attitude with the officer from the beginning in the dashcam video that has been published. Her rebellion escalated the moment the officer told her to put out her cigarette. Her demeanor turned into cussing and insulting the officer to the point he banged her head into the ground causing her not to hear.
Flash forward to THREE days in her cell. She was put in the cell BY ITSELF BEHIND all the other cells. Her cell was not visible by the security cameras. Therefore no one could see what was going on in her cell if someone was in there with her. All the camera could record was who came and went from her cell.
So in THREE days, officers would enter and leave her cell without being recorded.

Now ask yourself....what happens to rebellious people in jail? From what I understand there is all kinds of abuse, sometimes physical, mental and mostly sexual. If Sandra was abused, it makes PERFECT sense that she decided to hang herself AS A MESSAGE to the public! She didn't do it out of depression, but as a message! She KNEW if she committed suicide, that the videos would be publicized and her story would cause an outrage amongst everyone, of every race! She wasn't someone to lie down and die depressed. She was angry to the end and she knew that she had to make her story heard and show people how racist those officers were against black people!

She knew exactly what to do to get her story heard. Now I just pray that all the truth gets out and those racist officers get what they deserve...

Yes she was in a cell alone BEHIND all the other cells, where the cameras couldn't video what was happening to her. If they knew she had a history of suicide then why would they allow plastic trash bags and sheets? There's just more to this story than we will ever know!

By the way, people can get creative. I have known for a fact twice this year, 2 separate occasions and 2 separate prisoners, tried to slit their wrist with the zipper of their jeans in a local jail.

She was isolated so any cop who wanted to could go in and give her the "breathalizer" test at thier convienience. She probably got "fed" up after a while. Happens all the time, no big mystery.
