Even those mammoth sacs of silicone or saline wouldn’t cause this much rumbling on the drums around So CA today.

Question from somebody who doesn't live in earthquake territory. Would the sort of activity this drum is showing be noticeable to residents of---whatever area it's located in?

Perhaps just a sense of dizziness and such for those with sensitive bodies. I don't think there would be ripples in glasses of water or anything like that.

Just thought I'd throw this out there, though I am sure most of you have figured it out:

from one vertical line to the next = 1 minute

one complete rotation of the drum = 30 minutes

Re: So. Cal Earthquake Cam Needle continuously moving.
Wow - I've felt several times this morning slight dizziness and slight ground movement like a trampoline - so much so that I went into the kitchen to check my earthquake detectors but the chains aren't moving. So I thought it was just me being dizzy - maybe not - maybe its too slight for my crude earthquake detectors to pick up on it.

So weird, the live cam is fine for me ... no commercials, no stuttering, no stopping, no looping, etc. Nice steady movement, ticking off the minutes, and just subtly and steadily trembling ... on and on and on and ...

Is that last half-inch or so of paper showing stacked lines of trace squiggle?
 Quoting: bluebonnet

Yes it is.

To be fair in logic, these meters have a sensitivity tuning. Sometimes it is too sensitive and picks up other things. Like mining, construction, etc.

However, I do not believe it is so simple. It does look like a slow quake to me.
