Explosion and debris field in space caught on LASCO C2
I saw someone's video showing the bright light at 19:00 hours on 7/7/15. I decided to look it up and noticed that in the next frame 12 minutes later, available from NASA's data shows a debris field left from the explosion.

The explosion itself is either edited or so bright that the pixel sensor cells were overloaded causing the white pixel. At least the top and bottom of the explosion is clear enough along with the debris field in the next frame to understand that something happened.

Wow!

I am impressed! It is accessable on NASA's own feed, so it doesn't look like a hoax.

What does NASA say it is?

How do we determine how close or far away it is from the sun? If it were very close, it would be a hundred times the size of the earth. 200k away, and it would be the size of a rocket booster.

I saw it myself. A small bright flash in the ENE 35 degrees.

Yea, I noticed the bright line at frame 85 as well. Since I didn't see it in any of the next frames, I didn't want to bring it up.

Keep in mind, this is the same day that SpaceX's rocket and payload blew up seconds after launching. While their rocket was destroyed earlier that day, it's interesting to note that another explosion happened in space later that day.

I really have to wonder WTF is going on up there. Obviously there's much more activity than we know.

Any ideas of what it could have been?
The distance and speed required to move from frame 85 to 88 removes armed satellites.

Do we know where the Secret Drone Shuttle is by chance? Maybe weapons testing?

No, the way NASA's website works is you have to click on the link in my first post and then put in the fields of data you desire.

And no, it's not too late. I just did it again to check frame 85 from a previous response.

go to Search and Download SOHO Near Realtime Data
[link to sohodata.nascom.nasa.gov]
check Lasco C2, display movie put the date for start and end
2015-07-07 and then frame start 85 and stop 90 then press the start button, i hope it works.

It has nothing to do with earth and its nearby space, but as it is only in one frame it could be nothing (it looks like an exposed light-burn) but the "debris" in the next frame looks interesting placed there. By the way the line at 85 could be a planet and there is a bigger line in earlier frame at the top again that looks like a comet. But again all these in only one frame dont seem to be valid.

With these frames being 12 minutes apart, there's a lot of missing information. It's sheer luck that the time span between the frames NASA uses to generate data for the public happened to match the time the "event" happened as well as being extremely lucky that after 12 minutes there was any debris left to be caught, as we can see 12 minutes after the debris, there is nothing left to be reliably linked.

All I can do is speculate that the bright image missing the middle of it's data looks like a fireball or an explosion. The photographic data 12 minutes later displays what appears to be a debris field, or rather what's left of the base source of spontaneous combustion.

One thing is for sure, it's given me something to keep my imagination busy. :)
