SKS or AK ?

In general Russian tend to not be very interested in firearms and other such things. We have rather strict arms control. Sometimes ridiculously so. Interesting. So the vids of high school children taking guns apart is propaganda to scare us? WOW! There are video's here of 5th graders taking apart and putting AK's back together over and over even blindfolded. Comments on some of the video's make us think it is drilled into all Russian kids and adults. Well... During USSR times there was a class in school named "Primary Military Training". It was canceled during 90s. Parts of it were reintroduced into "Basics of Life Safety" course in early 00s. It remained in some schools - mostly in orphanages under MoD jurisdiction. And now it's being reintroduced as a voluntary course. Not anywhere though. Showing it as an common thing is wrong though. It as close to truth as showing street shooting in US as some everyday occurrence.
