It's a coal power plant. Is it just a coincidence that Obama is announcing more regulations today that'll kill coal? Is this some sort of warning to the plant owners?

The FBI and Farmington Police Department responded to a call around 9:12 a.m. regarding three suspicious devices at the Arizona Public Service Four Corners Power Plant.
After the items were being analyzed, the devices were found to be steel pipes with their ends capped, but nothing inside.

Capped at both ends? Thats nothing more then a pipe bomb, if anything at all... And SIX inches? Even if someone KNOWS what they are doing and "pineapples" the damn thing for frag, and fills it with half decent Semtex... Shit, youre still only looking at a VERY weak hand grenade.... If they are "touch sensitive" then half the space inside is again taken up by the trigger.. If radio the same thing...

At WORST the guy whos actually dumb enough to pick it up (none where it thankfully seems) will loose a couple fingers, and possibly up to a hand... These devices will do NOTHING to harm the actual infrastructure.

IF these are actual IED's, and not just left over scrap from a sloppy work crew (as I suspect), then they are NOT a a serious threat to be worried about. Certainly unsafe, and certainly worrisome that they could ever have found their way there in the FIRST place (Thanks Obama!), but an obvious amateur attempt made by sub par morons.

A damn good outcome, and a damn good time for a reality check by both the security officials at that pant and any others within a thousand mile radius.... as well as the REAL morons who allow a a completely open border so close to such facilities in the first place...

***3 Suspects Apprehended***

Employees at the Four Corners Power Plant in Fruitland were evacuated Monday after three suspicious devices were discovered in one of the power plant’s units.

Arizona Public Service Co. spokeswoman Jenna Shaver said Monday the devices, which are approximately six inches in length and capped at both ends, were discovered inside unit 4 of the power plant before 8 a.m.

The discovery resulted in all employees and personnel being evacuated from the plant, which is majority owned by APS, Shaver said.

Shaver said Monday afternoon that units 4 and 5 of the power plant continued to operate, despite the evacuation.

Units 1 through 3 were permanently shuttered in 2013

That was my first thought too.

My second thought was it sure as hell BETTER be JADE HELM, because if someone is really planting pipe bombs in nuclear power plants, that would be very bad.
