China warns Japan -- Don't mess with us; "avoid meeting the same fate as in WWII"
from 8/6/15 article, link below:

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has warned Japan not to "grapple with" China in all respects.
According to the diplomat, who asked not to be named, Wang had a meeting with his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida, at the request of the Japanese side, on the sidelines of the foreign ministers' meetings on East Asia cooperation held here.
During the meeting, Wang said this year marks the 70th anniversary of the victory of World War II and is thereby of special significance.
On the historical issue, Wang said, Japan should take a serious and responsible attitude instead of attempting to muddle through.
On the direction of national development, Japan should cherish and adhere to peace, and avoid meeting the same fate as in WWII.

On the attitude towards China, Wang said, instead of "grappling with" China in all respects, Japan should put into practice its promise that China and Japan are cooperation partners, not threat to each other.
In response to the exploration in the East China Sea, which the Japanese foreign minister mentioned during the meeting, Wang gave a brief account of the fact and truth and China's stand on the issue, requiring Japan to treat it in a matter-of-fact manner.

Re: China warns Japan -- Don't mess with us; "avoid meeting the same fate as in WWII"
In the meantime, they keep marching on with their plans:

snippits from 8/10/15 article, link below:
CHINA OFFERS SPRATLY FACILITIES FOR ASEAN’S COMMON USE
In a bold move to stop US warmongering in the South China Sea/West Philippine Sea, Chinese Wang Yi declared that the artificial structures be opened for cooperative use between nations in the region . . . blew open the war-mongering hysteria coming from Obama and his Philippine underlings in the Aquino Administration regarding the escalating war mobilization against China’s supposed “aggression” and “breaking the status quo” in the South China Sea.

Wang Yi announced that the island creation in the Nansha (Spratly) Islands had been completed, that the next step is to “build facilities primarily used for public purposes, including lighthouse, maritime emergency rescue, weather station, marine scientific research as well as medical and first-aid buildings,” as reported in Xinhua.

Wang Yi said: “Once the construction is completed, China is willing to open these facilities to countries in the region. As the largest coastal country in the South China Sea, China has the ability and obligation to provide these maritime public goods to countries in the region.”

Is there any question why this was conveniently left out of the western press coverage of the event?

He clarified that the Obama Administration’s demand that China abide by the Philippine case brought before the UNCLOS tribunal is entirely illegal, since the UNCLOS clearly alows arbitration only when two sides agree to that arbitration.

As shown in his offer for public use of the islands, as referenced above, China keeps open its offer to carry out joint development of the region with the other claimant nations—which would certainly work if Obama and his neocon pals were removed from power.

The conflict between China and Japan has gone on for centuries.

President Roosevelt inaugurated on 3/4/33, crawled into bed with China long ago. The US siding with China over Japan. The siding with China developed into Pearl Harbor 1941.

While true, things are completely different now. Japan has no appreciable military by their own laws and China outnumbers Japan by population 10 to 1.
"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? They will make nice and keep on keeping on but are making sure they're not misunderstood.

Speaking at the ASEAN+3 (China, Japan and South Korea) meeting, Wang said significant progress has been made under the ASEAN+3 pragmatic cooperation with more than 230 projects having been launched and the Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralization being implemented.
. . .Wang said China has put forward a six- point proposal for the peace, security and stability in the region

Re: China warns Japan -- Don't mess with us; "avoid meeting the same fate as in WWII"
Since GLP is a conspiracy site, I thought my brethren would like to know what REALLY happened before Pearl Harbor.

China was a US ally and had been for a while. The Japanese invaded and slaughtered a lot of Chinese.

A friend of mine told me that his father was US Navy Chief on active duty in 1939. His father was leading a Chinese infantry company in China at that time. There were many similar secret missions. This was two years before Pearl Harbor was attacked.

So, we had been secretly helping the Chinese and the Japanese were well aware of it.

Of course, considering what the Japanese were doing to our ally, I can understand the US involvement.

FDR and many others knew that war was inevitable. However, they were stymied by an alliance of pacifists in the democrat party and republican isolationists such as Senator Borah.

Borah and others blocked funds to fortify and supply our bases in the Pacific such as Corregidor because they said it might "antagonize" the Japanese.

It is interesting to reflect how much the world has changed since the 1930s and how much it has not changed.

Re: China warns Japan -- Don't mess with us; "avoid meeting the same fate as in WWII"
If the japs are smart they will become a nuclear power.
America's former friends are "ON THEIR OWN".
If Red China decides to TAKE Japan, right now they
are relying entirely on the USA to defend them.
BAD IDEA.
Same goes for Taiwan.
Japan could create a MASSIVE nuclear arsenal within
a few years, but they better do it on the QT.
THEN when they can defend themselves, they can
become Taiwan's protector.

The USA is well on the way down the drain.
We can't even protect ourselves anymore, much less
our former allies, even if we wanted to, which the current
lying regime does not.

America's former allies should take serious note,
and respond accordingly.

This.

And China was kinda in the same boat as France in WW2, not at all ready for modern warfare. If it wasn't for Russia Japan would had raped China and never turned their attention toward the US.

What Japan's army did to china's population though (and korea for that matter) they sure deserve a nuke or two. Which they ironically also got.
