Well, I've emailed David Dicke about this, and he replied to tell me that this is the first he has heard about any of this and hasn't been following the case at all.

I've been in contact with Shaela's mom Tammy via email. So I hope she doesn't mind me sharing some details. She & her family hasn't had any contact with her daughter since March 2010. Emails & calls have gone unanswered...
