Typhoon lifts Boeing 747 off the ground

A video has captured the incredible moment when a Boeing 747 was lifted off the ground by Typhoon Soudelor in Taiwan.

The typhoon is shown repeatedly lifting the nose wheel of a China Airlines Cargo jet in a MrOutofcontrolvideos YouTube video.

If that occurs, it will be the first time since 1997 that two super storms have hit the Pacific at the same time, according to AccuWeather meteorologist Anthony Sagliani.

A 'super typhoon' is declared when top wind speeds reach or exceed 150mph (240k/ph).

Take-off speed at Max weight for a 747-400 with Flap 3 is 155 - 160 kts, or 155kts at flaps 2.

Sitting empty, it is going to be much less than that.

Put enough wind over the wings, in the right direction, and it is going to try to fly.
