There are priceless world treasures in Paris. They are in danger and need to be relocated in the vaults deep in the Swiss/french ALPS, sooner than later. The weather alone could endanger them with dated cooling and security systems.

If they don't have good enough security to prevent arson or sabotage to this huge museum then another reason to get the treasures in the vaults.

Look what happened to the Museum in Iraq. It could easily happen anywhere.

science and industry museums don't generally have ancient antiquities - though of course what they do have is still very valuable.

Cité des Sciences is at Porte de la Villette which is t on the outskirts, right at the limit between suburbia and the city itself, not at all in central Paris like the Louvre or Musée d'Orsay.

I hope they will find the cause of this fire if it is criminal or accidental.
