Ashley Madison stats find New Orleans among the 'most adulterous' cities

The Ashley Madison website hack has many people who were looking for someone other than their spouse in the hot seat.

Personal information from the website that helps married people cheat was recently stolen. Now, those hacked details are online, including names, email addresses, street addresses, some financial information and even the sexual preferences of a reported 32 million customers.

Some New Orleans residents find themselves on this list.

Based on data provided by Ashley Madison, 24-7 Wall St., a website dedicated to Wall Street, reviewed the number of site members in 22 cities as part of the metropolitan areas’ populations. New Orleans came in at No. 7 on that list.

According to 24/7 Wall St., 3.1 percent of New Orleans residents are members of Ashley Madison with 36,000 members in the New Orleans metropolitan area. The site claims 31.3 percent of this population is married and 11.9 percent is divorced.

Austin, Texas and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania led the nation with 5.6 percent of their population being Ashley Madison members.
