Lake Huron (French: Lac Huron) is one of the five Great Lakes of North America. Hydrologically, it comprises the easterly portion of Lake Michigan–Huron, having the same surface elevation as its westerly counterpart, to which it is connected by the 5-mile-wide (8.0 km), 20-fathom-deep (120 ft; 37 m) Straits of Mackinac. It is shared on the east by the Canadian province of Ontario and on the west by the state of Michigan in the United States. The name of the lake is derived from early French explorers who named it for the Huron people inhabiting the region. The huronian glaciation was named due to evidence collected from Lake Huron region. The northern parts of the lake include the North Channel and Georgian Bay. The main inlet is the St. Marys River and the main outlet is the St. Clair.

This really pisses me off... They are trying to bury the shit close to the town where I've lived 95% of my life and where my kids are growing up. Looks like I'll be packing up when they actually put the plan in full effect.

Wanna know how they advertised this grand idea? Opened up a tiny shop in a small town in the middle of the county with no actual reference to what their plan actually is. They give you a website on a piece of Bristol board, in that shop window and you have to do the research yourself...

I wonder how well the local council is going to be able to line their pockets.

It wouldn't just be the water that could get contaminated. There's the massive salt vein close by that a lot of North America ingests or puts on our roads during the winter.

The US People need to find a Solution as soon as possible
because (at least since Fukushima) we know that Spent Fuel Pools
are not the right place to store this Waste!

It is wrong that no one want to get it in to their Neighborhood
