What about Sweden?

The modern Italians, and modern Greeks, have little Roman and ancient Greek, respectful, in them. Rome fell, largely because the people who built the Roman Empire, became supplanted via "multiculturalism". Producing the weak Italians, that we know today. The Greeks, story is far more tragic. Between the Visigoth sacking of the Balkan's, Jewish revolts against Rome, Bulgarian and Slavic invasion, Turkish invasion and conquest, the Greeks today, where simply bred out of existence.

Granted, that process didn't begin under Roman rule, it began when the ancient Greeks, kept importing cheap labor/slaves, from other races. Over time there was inter-mixture, and the Greeks became a lesser people(like the Roman's/Italians).
