I went to Costco today and was shocked!

One other thing it was packed like crazy on a wednesday so something is up.

We went today too, a lot of emergency stuff low or sold out - I did notice some unusual shopping choices (not obvious restaurant supplies) - food saver bags combined with huge bags of flour, sugar, rice, dry beans - spam almost gone - dry fruits, freeze dried stuff, dry milk, peanut butter prepper type stuff - one notable guy with a large shopping cart filled with flats of maple syrup and canned beans.

This same shit happened before other "crises-es". You cannot gauge your thoughts on this based on sheep behavior. Instead, look at elite behavior. Are they primarily on islands now? If so, get that extra bag of flour.

I noticed Costco was packed when I went yesterday, but I just figured it was the hurricane and back to school.
Stuff wasn't flying off the shelves though. However, here in south FL there aren't as many preppers, I don't think, as in other parts of the country. The only real stockpiling people do is before hurricanes.

Maybe but I just went to buy some Gatorade and didn't expect see that.

Think markets yesterday scared a lot people. no holidays coming up so have no idea.

They sell that wise food at walmart now.

I just went to a Costco in Illinois, Chicago to be exact. I didn't go by the water aisle but all the aisle's I passed through were very well-stocked.

People here are not worried. They only care about baseball right now and back to school, etc. If Rahmwell doesn't take care of them they figure Obama will. The other Illinois poster must be suburban DuPage County or downstate. I even saw a "Bernie 2016" bumper sticker today. Talk about the land of the fruits and nuts...

Oh, maybe the earthquake in Tennessee the other day worried people about the New Madrid.

We dropped $450 at Walmart on Sunday morning. Mostly all long term store-able foods and consumables. Rice, beans,spices, TP, etc. 2 carts topped and we checked out separately. A lot of the large sized items were out. I know because we shop there every Sunday morning and usually pickup a couple of long terms things to keep stock piling.

I will check again this weekend and see if things are different. Definitely low stock on large packaged items

Btw remember walmarts in texas are having barbed wires on them!

Lol. Not in TX right now. I've been from TX to CO to WY to WA to OR to FL and now TN just this year. Have a mod confirm my many ips this year if you like.

Mostly people are going about their biz as normal in my opinion.

Went to Costco today, nothing unusual .

We do not need CostCO or Wallwart to live. We are humans and we can figure out a way to live without a banker involved.

No need to worry about emergency food. NASA is sorting this out.
