Steve Cutts is a London-based illustrator and animator who uses powerful images to criticize the sad state of society. Greed, environmental destruction, junk food and TV consumption, smartphone addiction and the exploitation of animals are all issues that have inspired his work.
Do not fear the great changes we face at this time. Simply acknowledge this as a grand process, as we move from the old to the new. Are you waiting for something? or are you setting yourself free?
And as the old world falls, a new world may be born. And as we learn new things about our universe, may we be mature enough to take our place amongst the stars.

That picture is exactly how I used to live, in London. Probably ten times worse now. So glad I escaped.

Would you all prefer living out in villages where theres no Air conditioning. no heating, no paved roads. Youre doing backbreaking work on the farm, counting on it to rain. And you have to slaughter your own chickens and animals.

Meanwhile next house over, a womans giving birth with no hospital, only a midwife. Theres a higher chance mother or baby will die without emergency technological help.

Lifespans were shorter than today cause of warfare and viruses and diseases.

Women had to do laundry in tubs and rivers and wring it out. They had to make their own soap. Doing the most basic things practically took the entire day

False dichotomy.

Should not have to tolerate either extreme. :

You can make positive or negative art out of ANY time period. Who can imagine our grocery stores we have today, chock full of organic food.
How bout the artist do artwork about the blind seeing and the lame walking again with advanced prosthetic limbs
Or the surgeon operating on a baby still in the womb so it may live from its heart defect
How bout a family running into eachothers arms meeting up at the airport.

How bout the successful preservation of national parks and zoo ecological breeding programs.

Theres plenty of modern photography contests that are stunning and beautiful . Its all about a glass half full or half empty perspective.

Exactly. There is a happy medium. It's called Permaculture.
