The recent blast in Tianjin China is linked to the ongoing cyber-war involving the financial and intelligence communities of the world. The blast produced an electromagnetic pulse that was directed at disabling the Tianhe.

This could get nasty and become a huge cyber war. The US is to use sanctions against China for cyberespionage. We should prepare for cyber war now...this is going to be a mess.

LINK:The dministration is preparing sanctions against Chinese firms and individuals over cyberespionage. Chinese president Xi Jinping is arriving in Washington for a state visit next month.

The Obama administration is developing a package of unprecedented economic sanctions against Chinese companies and individuals who have benefited from their government’s cybertheft of valuable U.S. trade secrets.

China is not the only country that hacks computer networks for trade secrets to aid its economy, but it is by far the most active, officials say. Just last month, the FBI said that economic espionage cases surged 53 percent in the past year, and that China accounted for most of that.

The expected sanctions move will send two signals, a second administration official said. “It sends a signal to Beijing that the administration is going to start fighting back on economic espionage, and it sends a signal to the private sector that we’re on your team. It tells China, enough is enough.”

The sanctions would mark the first use of an order signed by President Obama in April establishing the authority to freeze financial and property assets of, and bar commercial transactions with, individuals and entities overseas who engage in destructive attacks or commercial espionage in cyberspace.

The US continues to assess the damage done to intelligence operations by Russian and Chinese exfiltration and sifting of personal data. It also finds OSINT challenging OPSEC. As the US deliberates sanctions against Chinese and (reportedly) Russian cyber actors it's worth noting that such measures are expected to target specific individuals and companies, not the countries themselves, and that they appear directed against industrial espionage, not foreign intelligence collection

I don't get the Russia love. They aren't doing especially well. The ruble is shit and all Crimea did was give the US and NATO an excuse to move hardware and ops personal right up to their border. When before they were no where near their border.

A chessmaster Putin definitely ain't. He created far more problems than he had and Russia has done absolutely nothing in retaliation.

I get it. But I hear all over this site about how America is doing what everyone else is doing but for some reason we shouldn't and just let ppl attack because we are somehow more guilty than our enemies? We're talking about things other countries do that effect innocent ppl in America.
So when that kind of thinking I call it out. Thats really all it is.

The point of the BRICS was to take down the dollar. plain and simple. I stand by my statement. BRICS hasn't done shit. Why does everyone have a problem with facts. Its not about teams or even right and wrong. It's about dealing with the real situations in our world. Not pretending the situations we wish were true were the real reality.
