Why is the Stock Market Carsh different this time?
Looking back at historical data (2005-current), it seems that they markets have periods of correction, but ultimately they are trending upwards.

So was is everyone making such a big deal this time around and saying that this it it?

I am looking for someone with more knowledge than me on the subject to point me in the direction of facts to support this.

Re: Why is the Stock Market Carsh different this time?
Because:

1) QE's by fed, artificially preventing corrections from happening. Also helping to hide major infrastructure issues within the market.
2) Fed's 0% interest for far too long
3) 90 million ages 16+ not in workforce
4) exponential growth of welfare payments
5) Ever shrinking jobs in US producing real goods
6) Loss of dollar as reserve currency for oil.

I'm sure there's more...but it's a shitstorm of epic proportions.

I guess i also failed to mention these points:

1) Ever growing national debt over $18T
2) Reduced productiveness
3) Increased reliance on prescription drugs (many of which are mind-altering, refer to #2)
4) Increasing costs for forced-buy-ins for healthcare (Obamacare) so people aren't able to afford as many consumer goods (TVs, PC's, furniture, etc) as they used to (Even those with subsidies, requiring increase in taxes to the middle class, the people who buy most of these goods).
