Although to be fair, the “education” system has been fucked for many decades, with obvious ulterior motives

I was helping a gfs daughter with political science homework and the assignment was to read a sitting congressional member’s website to answer questions, questions that were phrased “what do you think”, as if the ‘correct’ answer had anything to do with actual thought being that they wanted regurgitated BS from the congressional members website

The first section was short answer and the second section specifically said “would require at least 2 paragraphs” in the instruction and was followed by two questions, after which I would end up arguing with the mother who had a masters degree, that a total of 4 paragraphs was unnecessary

Meritocracy is unfair.

Also, feelings are more important than facts.

That is the dystopia they are trying to create. Let that sink in.

Maybe common core makes them self-destructive towards others?

They Went Full COMMIE

I learned more in a 20 minutes mental math tricks video then I did in school... where they just teach you to solve it using a pencil and paper or a calculator later on.

After practicing on simple equations a few times a week I can pretty much instantly add or subtract four digit numbers instantly in my head. Multiply 3 digit numbers in my head and division is almost as easy.

Common core for the commoners.
