Meetings with the Pope are usually requested by the party visiting, so it would seem that the European delegation of Rabbis requested a meeting with the Pope regarding , among other matters,the need to cooperate together in this matter of immigration to Europe.And today we have the Pope asking for all parishes, sanctuaries, monasteries to accept refugees. And Rabbis too coming out advocating acceptance and help towards these so called refugees in Europe
