I do see this too, but I have been seeing this with sirius as well for awhile now, it didn't just start recently .... but yeah last time I looked Venus looked a lot like the pole star, changing color and flickering too.

Either Venus is giving us a sign or it is not Venus. I'm sure you know more then me - I do know when I first starting seeing stars doing that it really threw me through a loop
