Hurry Up East Coast and Look East- Cool Convergence
I woke up to a beautiful convergence this morning.. Sun just starting over the horizon and the crescent moon super bright and what I assume is Venus, also super bright....

Just a nice way to start the day.

Moon was red for me here in the East Coast.
And yea Venus was bright.

Re: Hurry Up East Coast and Look East- Cool Convergence
The planets in my opinion have been MUCH brighter the past year or so.. I never noticed them as much as I have the past year.

Especially when they are setting in the evening, like Jupiter and Saturn.. I never remember them being so large and bright in the evening sky...

Plus convergences.. Been tons of them lately.. Mars/Jupiter/Moon just completed one a month ago.. I am sure the astrophysicists will chime in and say it always happens and I am sure it does.. But because they are so bright it just stands out so much more.

Is there a way to measure brightness? Is it possible the stratosphere is getting clearer? Because I live on the edge of a city and light pollution is horrible where I live and yet these planets are sometimes as bright as the moon.

Weird
