not really when you consider that the bill not being paid isn't going to change whether the home wifi network is active and sending/receiving signals.
It does stop if you are generating it from your own wifi router
Quoting: acinnc 69824487 It can't hurt turning off your wifi -- but I'll bet the energy from that is nothing compared that entering your home from the cell towers -- even if they are miles away. The only way to escape is live in a very rural area, or make your home into a Faraday cage.
