The stepson and my son have both been charged with grievous body harm. Which is very serious

The kids step father is an ex gang member with a huge criminal record.

My son learnt to fight by a professional and has no reason to fight just for the sake of it.

The poor other kid was brought up by grand parents as mother is a drug user /prostitute.

The fight started on the street, hence why my son went over and tried today break it up, and then the step dad started punching my son.

My son certainly isn't perfect, but has good morals ...and isn't a liar ....infact he tells me stuff I would rather not hear.

Why are the police siding with a man,who has a criminal record, in a street fight? Something missing/wrong about this story. Call a lawyer.

i will check this thread over the weekend to see if tou want to touch base i live in christchurch. also look up the site mwsip(mothers with sons in prison) there is a group in christchurch that meet fortnightly . they have no judgement just support ideas and resources

Doing what he did was the result of a situation which was out of hand.

So he tried to help.

If your a bystander, and take no action, that can be just as bad.

His actions were not based on intent, just doing what any good citizen should do.

Any negative out come, should be viewed as justified.

Any negative out come, was justified or they are sending the wrong message to arbitrators. To do not involve your self to break up a possible dangerous situation.

Two witnesses against one with a past as gang member, shouldnt be a problem. The two just have to claim the step dad started and they acted in self defense, case closed.

Prison isn't so bad. They feed you. There's no rent. You can have as much sex as you want. We should all want to go to jail.
