Is this by design or because Shia LeBeouf is trying to get the message out?

The clues in chronological order:

The couple awakes in an empty room, aside from some butterflies (Monarchs?) and find evidence of abuse - bruising and wounds to the hands

Days are numbered on her back like a prison sentence indicating the number of times they have been abducted

Two different sets of personalities/memories of "him and her" emerge through dance (I am purposely avoiding the nudity topic, because I'm not convinced it's relevant and it distracts from the topic of mind control)

Handlers come in and provide them with lollipops with scorpions inside them and they light up as they lick them (LSD)

Handlers blindfold and abduct them

The couple can be "blown away" into the direction of their handler's choosing after they have consumed the "treats"

As they are blown away in the hallway, light bulbs light up and a picture of the "One Eye" is seen in the form a painting; with a heart over the other eye for juxtasposition

They are now put into a car and made to believe they are drowning, while consuming their (LSD) lollipops (brainwashing begins)

One of the handlers points to his "Third Eye (all seeing one eye)"

Next the couple are undergoing electro-shock trauma as evidenced by their shaking

Blindfolds are now taken off and they return home to a bedroom full of framed Monarch (?) butterflies

They begin their dance again, like before, repeating a pattern

The face of the handler is drawn on the woman's body.. in an attempt to remember?

The face of the handler is drawn onto cardboard with the third, all seeing eye

She confronts him with the framed butterfly in attempt to draw out his memory...saying "LOOK!"

He begins to break and fracture upon the realization of their trauma

Loss of innocence is featured through the ceramic unicorn smashing under water

He then smashes the mirror (key to dissociative personality)

He becomes somewhat violent with her until they fall into their old pattern of kiss and make up (part of the charade and programming, to make the couple think the man is abusing the woman instead of the handlers)

The handlers emerge to clean up the mess

They awake to an empty room again to do it all over another day
