I don't watch TV, but I watched this episode due to threads like this.

It is not as portrayed by the Daily Mail.

It is saying if we give in to sensationalist politics any more it will destroy us.

The person in the episode is the Canadian president, elected as a joke. A bunch of Canadians flee to the U.S. prompting Mr. Garrison to get mad that they are ruining his town. He manages to get into Canada (now in ruins) and attack the guy. Then Mr. Garrison, an idiot, decides he should be president of the U.S. But, Kyle makes a speech saying no more sensationalist politics.

It is not saying to rape or murder anyone. It is saying, do not treat politics as a joke. Sensationalist politics would also be what Obama is doing at the beginning of the episode which is giving a little boy an award over some total b.s. (in this case, it's Kyle).

Until low and behold he starts becoming a frontrunner because everyone's just having a laugh, and next thing ya know he's the president. Say what you want about his views or speeches I haven't dug too much into them, but seriously years ago anyone thinking that Trump would be president should be thinking "What the hell has the world come to when this guy is the best we can put forward".
