[link to hnn.us] And wasn't it just a few days ago that the Pakistani president went on American tv, telling us that Lord Bush threatened his country with a massive bombing campaign? |

In 1999 the CIA announced that it was UNHAPPY with the Director of the ISI and was replaced with someone more amennable - the one that on the morning of 9/11 was meeting with Goss & Graham in Washington DC - the same one who ordered the $100,000 sent to Atta - and then allowed to retire with full pension. A PATSY Setup you see. India - Reps from Israel were invited to India in Feb, 2002 to advise on border security with Kashmir and "Interrogation Methods." So Israel has "cozied" up with India. USA controlling ISI!!! Israel "helping" India!!! This combinatrion is Fraught with Possibilities/Probabilities!!! Daniel :history: |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 124822I read an article, yesterday, saying this same ISI was involved with an MI6 agent who is one death row for the killing of Danny Pearl. Now, Mushariff in his book has fingered soemone else for the crime, so the atty for the guy on death row will be using Mushariff's book in the guy's defense. I'm wondering if the Brits are trying to spring their man. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 147938 United States 09/30/2006 03:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | President dubs alleged Pearl killer MI6 spy Published: Friday, 29 September, 2006, 01:06 PM Doha Time LONDON: Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf has disclosed that Omar Sheikh, who kidnapped and murdered American journalist Daniel Pearl and is now facing death penalty, was actually the British secret Agency MI6’s agent and had executed certain missions on their behest before coming to Pakistan and visiting Afghanistan to meet Osama and Mullah Omar. General Musharraf’s book has also given a new twist to the whole drama of kidnapping and murder of American journalist as many believe here British national Omar Sheikh might use Musharraf’s memoir to plea his innocence after, quite surprisingly, Musharraf tried to give a clean chit to Omar despite his role in kidnapping which is punishable with death in Pakistan. It has been reported that General Musharraf has written in his book that while Omar Sheikh was at the London School of Economics (LSE), he was recruited by the British intelligence agency MI6, which persuaded him to take an active part in demonstrations against Serbian aggression in Bosnia and even sent him to Kosovo to join the jihad. At some point, he probably became a rogue or double agent. The local media is discussing the possibility that Omar would use evidence from President Musharraf’s memoirs to save himself from the hangman. General Musharraf appeared to exonerate Omar Sheikh in his book In the Line of Fire. Sheikh, 32, who was brought up in Wanstead, east London, has been on death row since 2003 after being convicted of orchestrating the kidnap and murder of the Wall Street Journal reporter. The Times, which is carrying extracts of Musharraf autobiography has reported that General Musharraf appears to have changed his mind about the Briton’s guilt, saying he now believes that the man who beheaded the American hostage was Khalid Sheikh Mohamed, the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. The Times has reported that Rai Bashir, Sheikh’s lawyer, said that he intended to use the memoir to force a new appeal hearing. The Times report said General Musharraf appears to contradict the original claim that the British militant callously planned Pearl’s murder, saying: "Only later did I realise that Omar Sheikh had panicked because the situation had spiralled out of his control." Bashir said: "After reading the book, if I feel necessary, I will quote the book in my arguments in favour of my client. It can be used as evidence." Three other men jailed for life for their part in the crime have lodged appeals. - Internews [link to www.gulf-times.com] [link to www.gulf-times.com] |

Ningishiddza User ID: 124957 United States 09/30/2006 04:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Mumbai bombings were in retaliation for India's help. India provided arms, munitions and supplies to the US airbases in US puppet-government backed Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Those supplies were then taken across the border in Afghanistan to support the armies of the northern tribes in their joint effort with the CIA to put pressure on the Taliban to sign an oil pipeline contract. The pipeline contract talks broke off in July 2001 and the US threatened to invade Afghanistan, and did shortly after 9-11. Americanii-s de vina futu-i in gura sa-i fut |

They have know for quite some time and have simply been waiting for the proper moment (signal) to attempt and drive the wedge (which will succeed) between the U.S. and Pakistan. This is according to plan and nothing to be concerned about -- assuming you are not from Pakistan. |

This is according to plan and nothing to be concerned about -- assuming you are not from Pakistan. The Americans have realized that their so-called long time Ally Pakistan is really wolf in sheep skin. Moreover China's growing clout is also a big concern. Hence there need be no wedge when they are trying to clearly gravitate to another regional power "India" which practices non-aggressive nature. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 149670 Canada 09/30/2006 06:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hey, Pakistanis are mostly Muslims, and as we all know Muslims have never seen a crowd they didn't want to blow up. Sure, sometimes they like to cut off the heads of individuals with dull butcher knives, but bombs get you more victims in less time. Time is money! One of the greatest genocides in history was against Indians by their Muslim conquerors back in medieval times. The most conservative estimates run into the tens of millions slaughtered, since Hindus are not "people of the book" and are "polytheists". That puts them on a level with Africans, good for nothing but slavery in Muslim eyes. |

Babar's conquest of India was one of the least violent conquests in history. Had you read Babar's "autobiography" you would have a much better insight. He was an extraordinary man, who loved and wrote poetry, criticized poetry, including his own, and criticized himself and a leader and warrior, and even criticized Islam. The Hindus were instrumental in helping Babar conquer India, and he relied heavily on local Hindu leaders to provide effective administration of the Moghul Empire (yes he was descended of Mongols). His son was also an effective and capable leader who brought peace and prosperity to the region. Americanii-s de vina futu-i in gura sa-i fut |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 60359 United States 10/01/2006 04:29 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My take on this, after some moments of reflection, is that there may be some rogue, hardline Pakistani ISI officers that were involved, but it's hard to believe that it would be santioned by the Pakistani govt. It seems more likely that the Indian police have been taken to the BS suppliers due to extracting info with torture or something like that. So far we don't know how they managed to connect these particular dots. |
