ROCKFORD, Ill. (WLS) --
Police are responding to an active shooter situation at a medical clinic in Rockford.

A gunman reportedly fired shots inside Crusader Clinic in the 1100-block of Broadway on Monday afternoon. No injuries have been reported.

ROCKFORD — Frightened employees and patients fled the Crusader Clinic about about 2:15 p.m. Monday after a man reportedly opened fire on the second floor of the building at 1100 Broadway.

Although there had been reports of gunfire, no one is believed to have been shot. Employees evacuated the building as police arrived and police urged them to leave the immediate area.

this reeks of bummer-ism, but living in Rockford would push anyone over the edge.
