BREAKING UPDATE: PUTIN SAYS HE THINKS HE CAN WORK WITH OBAMA, EVEN AFTER THE TWO SPARRED EARLIER IN THE DAY AT THE UN.

FROM LINK LESS THAN 50%:Putin emerged from a rare face-to-face meeting with Barack Obama on Monday night, saying Russia and the US could find a way to work together on Syria, despite deep differences over the country’s leadership

The US-Russian summit lasted 94 minutes, more than half an hour more than planned, in the sidelines of the UN general assembly where the two leaders had traded barbs only hours before, particularly over the future of the Syrian leader, Bashar al-Assad. Speaking to Russian journalists after the meeting, Putin said that the two had found at least some common on the four-year conflict.

The Russian leader described the conversation with Obama as “very constructive, businesslike and very frank”.

“We had some points in common, and we had differences,” Putin said, according to a translation by the Russia Today satellite channel. “I think there is still a way we can work together on the problems we all face."

If you are like me, you were anxious to hear the outcome of talks between Obama and Putin today at the United Nations.

They sparred openly in their speeches, but also supposedly they met in private later.

Putin's speech spoke of cooperation, while Obama's was just the same ole...same ole..."Assad must go".

It is like we all here in the US are sitting on the edge of our seats hoping Obama will wake up, see the light of day, and join Putin in the fight against ISIS.

We also want him to get a grip and see that the United States foreign policy has done nothing but divide the world in war torn bits and pieces.

Time is not on our side, but Obama just continues with his jive talking.

FROM LINK LESS THAN 50%: "Washington doesn't negotiate. It demands. John Kerry saying he's willing to engage with Russia and Assad on Syria is smoke screen deception. Claiming the need for a political solution belies America's rage for war. Washington undermined the Geneva I and II talks despite Russia's best efforts. Longstanding US plans call for regime change," Lendman emphasized in his article for Global Research.

Citing retired US Army General Wesley Clark's book "Winning Modern Wars," the author pointed to the fact that Washington has long harbored plans on regime change in Syria.

Soon after the 9/11 tragedy Clark was told that the Pentagon was considering to oust the governments of seven countries, namely Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Iran.

FROM LINK LESS THAN 50%: Back-rub Diplomacy?: There was a very odd moment when Vladimir Putin looked like he was trying to pat or rub President Obama on the back, then Obama moved away so Putin's hand ended up on Obama's arm. Obama didn't even acknowledge the strange contact.

The two leaders were really an odd couple to begin with, having almost completely opposite personalities, but a series of events that culminated in Russia's invasion of Crimea, continued involvement in the instability in eastern Ukraine, the shooting down of MH17 and Russia's drastic increase in provocative military displays of force have only deepened the divide between the two men.

Sudan huh? Clock-boy's father wants to be president of Sudan. Maybe that what that was about, to generate publicity so he might have a better chance the next election. Especially with some behind-the-scenes help from the CIA.
